Can anyone now instruct how to delete the other one or is it always there? I suppose I could just go through and delete the pics and put this url on for anyone who wanted to browse!

Most blogs are free and while you could probably delete the old one it would be easier just to make one last posting in it giving the new URL. As long as:
http://sylvia68-serendipity.blogspot.com/
is showing on the old blog, anyone who has bookmarked it will know how to find the new blog and keep up with what you are doing. If you don't know how to make it a clickable link on the old blog, as long as the full address is there, people can still find you.
